Atlantic Clipper (2D/2N)

As soon as you get dropped off at the marina, you will already recognise the Atlantic Clipper. It has these two huge masts and some of the crew are already ready to welcome you. If you are looking for socialising and meeting people, then you are on the perfect boat. I have to say the crew is awesome and very entertaining and I had a really good time. If you get seasick very easily, don’t worry, this is the biggest vessel you can get on for visiting the Whitsundays’. The bigger the vessel, the less seasick you get. Enough reason to go on the popular Clipper!

For who:
I recommend this board for single travellers, couples and friends between 18-30 years old. Especially for those who wants to enjoy a proper sailing trip with lots of entertainment and (that’s why it’s also well known as the party boat) for those who also just want to have a chill with a good vibe.

On board:
The top deck provides a sunny chill out area and bean bags to hang out in the shade. There is an awesome relaxed spa and two water slides that invites everyone to have lots of fun. Great snacks and meals are prepared during the whole trip on the second deck. Under the salon, the air-conditioned cabins allow 53 passengers to stay on the vessel. I could sleep very well in the cabin.

The Crew:
The highlight of the trip is the crew! Thanks Clay for all the laughs and Ben for the awesome dives. Every crew member has its own character and they guarantee you a memorable time with their famous costume dancing show and the early noisy lovely wake-ups.

Activities:
After you have visited the Whitehaven Beach, with its pure white soft sand and crystal clear water, there are still many more things to do on the Clipper. Snorkelling with turtles and lots of fish, scuba diving ($) with a professional dive Instructor, sunbathing on the deck, relaxing in the spa, jumping from the deck into the tropical water and using the water slides for more action. Evening entertainment is guaranteed.

After the Trip:
It is still not over! After arriving back in Airlie Beach. With the people and new friends you spent the last days on the Clipper, you can enjoy dinner and free drinks at the Down Under bar. Some of the crew might join if they are not already on the next trip. Good vibe and life music. After having a few drinks, you can continue your night at Boom. Maybe you can still remember how you get back into you hostel, or you make a stopover at Maccas’.

My conclusion:
I had a very awesome time in Airlie Beach and on the Clipper. The Whitehaven Beach was incredible! Thanks Gypsy Travel and True Blue Sailing for having me there! I definitely recommend this trip to everyone I am going to meet in the Hostel, on the road, supermarket and just everywhere.
